Windows search remove outlook




















I had Outlook open while I did it the first time. Saw a comment to close Outlook first so I typed in some random numbers into the search and closed Outlook. Deleted f again after the search. Opened Outlook and no search history! Hoping this comment will help anybody reading these instructions now. Yes, it works beautifully--to remove a very annoying feature.

Hi so i went into Windows NT, current version but there is no other folder called Windows subsystem. Why is this? I couldn't do it the first way either i do as follows and as soon as i click on office, outlook there is nothing in that.

I am having the same problem. I really want to disable this annoying feature. This works in Outlook , but only for the 'Recent Searches' drop-down. I am having the same issue. I want to disable that feature because it has gotten to the point that it is really annoying. Especially when I have to do several searches during the day. Or, if you want to restore the operation to the Windows Search service, you can click the Enable button to turn on the service again. In the Advice column, advice on how to deal with the service are offered to you. You can take it into consideration before you decide to enable or disable it.

If you enable or disable some crucial system services at random, some unpredictable consequences may happen. More seriously, it may cause your system works abnormally. So be cautious. Then you can select one of the following two choices to continue. Click the down arrow icon to expand the Startup type drop menu, select the option of Automatic Delayed Start , and then tap on the button of Apply to proceed. Under Services status, click the button of Start and then tap OK to save changes and exit.

If the service is currently running, click the button of Stop under Services status. Select the option of Disabled in the Startup type drop menu and then tap on OK to keep the modifications. If your search history is still there after you deleted the registry value f then you need to ensure that Outlook is closed before you delete the registry value.

Close the Outlook desktop app. Go to the registry and delete the registry value f Start Outlook and verify the search history has been cleared.
