Easy job but unruly coworkers make it extremely difficult. Day to day task are easy if you have a great supportive team. I worked at many locations some was great, some was terrible. Relaxed workplace, yet very fast paced. Weekend nights can be a nightmare. Jobs at Regal Entertainment Group.
Floor Staff. You get to see some movies the day before they release to the public! Overall fun environment, get to talk to a lot of fun people! You get one free ticket a week and half off concessions. Pros Free tickets. Cons A lot of people. Fun, great environment at the right Regal Overall, my Regal is a very relaxed workplace in Greenwood, IN.
Although during busy days it can get wild, it still ultimately is an environment where you don't constantly feel pressured to do everything. I have heard, though, that it depends on location. My Regal had fun, great people who all stood together as friends and could joke around which made us better as a group ; however I have heard from someone who moved to another Regal that it was a vastly worse, less fun, and more stressful experience, even though they were less busy.
As I got better, I got offered a manager job multiple times, which I only denied due to my college schedule. As well, they have offered me my job back after quitting multiple times, and are always willing to let employees who leave join back, as long as you were a decent worker.
Overall, great stuff, other than the pay. That's what I ultimately left for. Pros Great environment, flexible scheduling, fun with the right people. Cons PAY Idk what to tell you, it's more or less exactly how you'd imagine. We used to be able to watch as many movies as we wanted when we weren't working, but then they reduced it to like one or two per week, which effectively ruined the only truly good thing about the job.
Pros Free movies technically , free popcorn, concessions discounts. Cons Corporate doesn't give a hoot about us, stupid rules that don't make sense, practices that waste time and energy for very little payoff, sharp reduction in amount of free movies, unreliable scheduling. Yes There are 2 helpful reviews 2 No. Productive professional workplace with a lot of customer interaction. It is an overall good work environment filled with very cool and interesting people.
The management is understanding of situations. It's a very good place to gain experience in customer service and working with others. Good breaks and fun people. Cons You have to work on holidays every once in a while. I was there for about a year, and they slowly took benefits away from employees.
From 4 free tickets a day, to 2 free a week. Management did not help during busy movie times. Minimum wage, nothing more. Cons Low pay. It was a very fun job and you had the opportunity to build a connection with revisiting customers.
For minimum wage only sometimes the theatre is really demanding. Especially working concessions on the day of a big movie release and there only being 4 cashiers. Productive professional workplace with a lot of customer interaction.

Good job for high school. Pros Easy. Great coworkers, decent pay, easy work. The work is pretty straightforward and easy. Hardest part was being on feet all day and technical issues at the register. Can be stressful during rushes, especially when new movies come out, and trying to clean the auditoriums in time with the busted up brooms they had.
Coworkers were all good people, would happily work with them all again. Pretty good experience, would definitely work there again. Cons Gm, A little lackluster on following Covid protocol, Some Customers punt popcorn across the auditoriums, making it not very fun to clean. The wage is very unfair compared to other stores and restaurants in the area.
There is no chance for promotion, the GM opens the position and always makes his decision for it without fairly interviewing anyone else. Overall, I do not recommend this job for anyone.
Many people left my location at the same time. Do not work here. Pros Free movie tickets, decent leadership, and work-life balance sometimes. Cons Horrible management, no job appreciation, no possibility for advancement. It was my first job and it allowed me to gain some experience in the workforce, I guess.
Honestly, most of the time it was pretty slow — so it was basically just standing at the registering and pretending to look busy, as instructed by my manager. Other than that, I couldn't really complain. It was pretty easy and the management was lenient.
Pros Employee discounts on concessions, free movie tickets. Cons Pay, nonstop standing, boring. Claimed Profile. Want to know more about working here?
Ask a question about working or interviewing at Regal Entertainment Group. Our community is ready to answer. Used to get free movies, not sure if that perk is still around. Regal was far from a bad place to work, but also far from a good place to work.
Typical movie theatre job: sell tickets, make food, clean theaters. Fellow coworkers made the job fun at times. Corporate is extremely stingy and cheap towards its employees, with high expectations of cleanliness and presentation while providing little to no funding for facility upgrades or improvements. Pros Free movies, work with your friends, lots of downtime. Cons No support from corporate, often short staffed, slammed on premiers and holidays. Can be an easy job but customers and management are too hard on the staff.
However, they put all the work on the floor staff and are rude to their employees. You can also work a 9 hour shift and only have one 35 minute break.
Pros Free movies. Cons Short breaks, long hours, no set schedule. First few months I was happily working, receiving good pay and making new friends. After a while, a new general manager comes in and hires many younger new employees which drove them to have me work less hours. Here and there I would hear some of the employees talking badly about another person, creating drama.
What made me want to quit was that the managers started talking to each other and other employees behind my back about my weaknesses saying I was "Slow" when I have a learning disability, which I think was very unprofessional. I had worked for the company for over 7 months and I thought I was in a safe place. It is run by unprofessional young adults and I would never recommend working in a hostile environment like Regal Cinemas.
Pros Discounts on food, free popcorn, two free movie tickets a week. Cons too much drama, bad management, work holidays. Rate your recent company Share your experience to help others. Very unstaffed. Always hard on you about saving money by putting yourself understaffed. Pros 2 free movies a week. Cons Unhealthy environment.
Fun place to work but expect way more out of management and floor staff then what they are paying. Money is not enough for the amount of work you have to do. They expect way too much out of the floor staff which then leaves the management having to heckle employees who then just leave.
They need to bump up pay or rethink their whole calendar and how they do things there. Pros Free movies, disounts. Cons No set schedule, no holidays off, poor pay. Fast paced with unprofessional management. Holiday pay is only given on the actual holiday, not the Eve which is just as important to many people. Sometimes they'll do our own jobs when multiple floor staff could be doing it instead, other times they'll make small changes in policy like how we do popcorn refills and not tell us until they've seen us do it wrong and even write us up for it.
Overall, there is a serious lack of communication throughout the building. Yes There are 1 helpful reviews 1 No. Easy job but unruly coworkers make it extremely difficult.
